Autumn’s Colour Power Punch

12 11 2011

The start stop start to autumn I thought would culminate in a shortened time span of colours, but I have been proven wrong by the wonderful burst of colour around Newark on Trent this past week. In keeping with previous season’s the first week of November has proven to be spectacular. I have often seen from the road an area of woodland near the slip feed to the A1 off the A46 and wondered what potential it had. This morning I went out to find out if there was any access and I was not disappointed .  Parking on the Bridge Farm access road the woods are a short walk away. The only downside is the evidence of fly tipping which does intrude on some of the potential images. All in all a most enjoyable excursion, the snail image being the biggest challenge with the wind intermittently interfering with the timed shutter release!
